AAEON Europe has officially released support on the latest Yocto 3.1 Dunfell on AAEON AI embedded box PC, Boxer-8220AI, BOXER-8221AI, BOXER-8250AI, and BOXER-8251AI, powered by NVIDIA. Software services are provided in conjunction with AAEON’s software partners, such as KOAN, to provide customization, integration, and support for Yocto Project on AAEON BOXER-8200 series.
KOAN provides customization on the enabled platforms creating of board support packages (BSP) on ODM products, integration of customer applications into Yocto, as well as support and maintenance plans.
Aiming to support embedded AI computing, the BOXER-8200 series is designed for embedded markets in both hardware and software. The series includes AI engines from NVIDIA Jetson NANO or Xavier NX and provides industrial interfaces, power voltage, and thermal dissipation. The enabling of industrial operating systems, such as Yocto, is the key part in bringing AI to the embedded market.
The Yocto Project provides the tools to develop tailored embedded Linux distributions for any device, platform, or project. This is made possible across multiple verticals including retail, healthcare, transportation, robotics and industrial automation. Building custom systems enables developers to minimize required storage space, memory usage, and security risk surface thereby achieving optimal performance.
